Locum Tenens Trauma Surgeon Opportunity Near Woodbury, CTWe are seeking a skilled Trauma Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment near Woodbury, CT. This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified surgeon who is ready to step into a busy hospital setting and provide critical care while the facility recruits a full-time surgeon. This position offers a dynamic schedule with varied shifts, making it a great fit for those who thrive in high-pressure environments.Key Details: Profession: Physician Specialty: Trauma Surgery Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Location: Near Woodbury, CT Practice Setting: Hospital-BasedSchedule: Weekday Shifts: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Three weekday nights, Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM the next day Weekend Shifts: Two 24-hour shifts, Saturday or Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM the next day On-Call Requirements: Three nights per week and weekendsPractice Environment: Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma Center Annual ER Volume: 80,000 Percentage of ED Patients Admitted: 35% Total Number of Beds: 617 Documentation System/EMR: Epic OR Staff: Full complement of experienced professionals Patient Demographics: Primarily adult and geriatric patients, with occasional child/adolescent casesRequired Procedures: Trauma Cases: Adult, Geriatric, Penetrating, and Blunt Trauma Chest Tube Insertion Laparoscopic Procedures: Appendectomy CholecystectomyCandidate Requirements: Board Certification: Required in Trauma Surgery State License: Active Connecticut license required Certifications: ACLS and DEA required Local Candidates: Must be local; only mileage reimbursement is offeredWhy This Opportunity?This locum tenens position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment where your skills and experience will be put to the test.
