Job DescriptionAcademic Vascular Surgeon Opportunity in Dayton, Ohio Location: Dayton, OH Position Details: Employment Type: Full-Time Position Type: Permanent Practice Type: Academic Vascular Surgery Call 1:4Affiliation: Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Job Description: Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Vascular Surgeon to join the core faculty team in Dayton, Ohio. The successful candidate will contribute to patient care, resident and medical student education, and research while working with a diverse range of vascular surgery cases.
Responsibilities:
Participate in didactic teaching, journal clubs, and clinical case conferences for residents and medical students Provide clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care for inpatient and outpatient vascular services Perform a variety of open and endovascular procedures, including: - Carotid artery surgeries, lower limb revascularizations, aneurysm repairs, limb amputations, venous bypass surgeries - Trauma cases Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in both inpatient and outpatient settings Opportunity to develop a complex aortic program in partnership with the award-winning cardiothoracic surgery department Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary with incentives Faculty appointment with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans Malpractice coverage with tail CME allowance and professional development support Relocation assistance About Facility: The region s only Level I Adult Trauma Center Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and high-risk maternity services The area s only Adult Burn Center CareFlight Air and Mobile ICU ambulance services Comprehensive stroke and neuroscience programs, including the Midwest s first brain mapping center 24/7 Level II cardiac catheterization lab services
