Job description
Facility is seeking a a Vascular Surgeon to start as soon as December 1, pending completion of credentialing!Dates of Coverage: 12/1/2026 - ongoingSchedule: 24 hr pager coverage + Inpatient rounding and consults. Possibility for some minimal clinic coverage. Call Coverage: Yes, beeper callCall Ratio: prefer stretches of coverage if possible.Average Amount of Call Back Hours: to be defined. Anticipating 1-2 times per week. # of Providers Needed: Enough to cover 24/7/365. Potentially 3-4 initially. Reason for Coverage: Coverage interruptionPractice Setting(s): Inpatient/Hospital-Based, and ClinicLeadership Position/Required to Teach: NoPatient Population: 100% adult/geriatric% Outpatient vs Inpatient: 95%+ inpatientAverage # of Patients Per Day: Average: 1-2 consults/week, 1-2 urgent emergent cases/week, 3-5 total cases per week. Trauma Level Designation: Level 1 traumaRequired Duties, Procedures, Skills, etc: Minimum 2 years clinical experience. Must have relevant experience for emergent surgeries, including vascular injury from penetrating trauma and ruptured aortic aneurysm repair. EMR/Documentation: EpicAdditional Notes: The primary function of this role is level 1 trauma coverage. With time, there may be some modest clinic coverage for surgical referrals and postoperative visits. CREDENTIALING:Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 60 days for clean filesAre Temps Available? YesSubmission RequirementsBoard Certified or BE within 5 years of residency - REQUIRED Fellowship - REQUIRED Active MN license - PREFERRED EPIC experience - PREFERRED Minimum two years of clinical practice experience required - REQUIRED
