Hours: 40 hours per week \ N
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM \ N
On-Call: No on-call coverage required \ N
Weekends/Nights: No nights or weekends \ N
Patient Volume: Approximately 2.5 patients per hour \ N
Position Overview \ N
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Physician to provide on-site primary and emergency medical care to a male incarcerated population. The physician will manage a general patient caseload as well as specialized populations, including individuals with dementia and developmental disabilities.\ N
The physician will work collaboratively with other medical providers, including Nurse Practitioners, to ensure safe, effective, and comprehensive patient care.\ N
Key Responsibilities \ N
- Provide routine primary care and emergency medical services to patients.\ N
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.\ N
- Manage patients with complex medical needs, including dementia and developmental disabilities.\ N
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and follow-up care.\ N
- Collaborate withNurse Practitioners and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary care team.\ N
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation and patient records.\ N
- Follow established clinical protocols, healthcare standards, and applicable regulations.\ N
- Promote patient safety, continuity of care, and quality healthcare services.\ N
Minimum Qualifications \ N
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.\ N
- Board Certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) member board or applicable recognized specialty board.\ N
- Current, active,and unrestricted Ohio Medical License.\ N
- Ability to provide medical care in a correctional healthcare environment.\ N
- Strong clinical,communication, and decision-making skills.
