Job DescriptionUrgent Care Physician opportunity: Cedar Rapids, IA About the Job:
\ N Urgent Care Clinics are open 8am-8pm Monday Friday;
8am-3pm Saturday and Sunday
\ N Schedule is shift based;
14-15 shifts per month
\ N Rotating weekend shifts
\ N 2 Providers per shift
\ N No call requirements
\ N Full-time position, including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access
\ N 24/7 hospitalist program is responsible for adult and pediatric inpatients
\ N Fully integrated systemwith clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
\ N Epic integration with an option for patients to reserve your spot online
\ N Average of 5-6 patientsper hour
\ N Provide medical treatment for minor illnesses and injuries
\ N Excellent assessment skills
\ N Work in a fast-paced environment
\ N Provide high quality care to all ages
\ N Offers select diagnostic tests and lab tests
\ N Prescribe treatment, refer patients for follow up care, and educate patients
\ N Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
\ N Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
\ N Excellent communication(written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
Qualifications \ N MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine
\ N Preferred American board of Urgent Care medicine certification
\ N Ability to care for allages
\ N Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
\ N Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physicians field of practice
\ N Eligible to work in theUnited States (H1-B cap exempt)
