JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: L-MD-74916 Profession: Physician Specialty: Urgent Care Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Lafayette, IN 47909 Service Setting: Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Nov 01, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Rotating schedule, including weekends; 3x12-hour shifts, 7:45am-8:15pm Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Department Restructuring PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 45 patients/day FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Support Staff: RNs: 4, MAs: 3, PA/NPs: 4, Office Staff: 2 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC required (Eligible) Licenses: Licensed in IN or Universal License (IMLC) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Duties & Responsibilities Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses and minor injuries. Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, wound care, and incision and drainage. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, lab work, and EKGs. Prescribe medications and provide patient education on treatment plans and follow-up care. Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
