It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they are doing!We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.Hartford Healthcare-GoHealth Urgent CarePhysician Opportunities Within Expanding Urgent Care Network in ConnecticutVarious Opportunities & Locations AvailableWe are seeking experienced Physicians who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse community of providers in the surrounding region.Compensation:Base Salary Range: $224,134.56 - $259,702.56/yrJob Summary:Physicians independently perform a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections and are also responsible for selecting and utilizing appropriate diagnostics and/or therapeutic procedures for patients.Education- Graduate of an accredited medical school requiredWork Experience2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience requiredMinimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting requiredAdult and pediatric practice experienceRequired Licenses/Certifications- Board Certified or Board Eligible by an ABMS member board or AOA specialty board in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine- Active state medical licensureAdditional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required- Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting- Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing, splinting, etc.Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records- Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills- Strong communication and customer service skillsJob Responsibilities include:Examining and treating patientsTaking patients’ medical historiesOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-raysMaking diagnoses and prescribing medicationsTreating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or castingRecording progress notes for follow-up patientsEducating and counseling patientsOrdering and/or carrying out therapy with patientsGiving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional careSupervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervisionJob Responsibilities include:Examining and treating patientsTaking patients’ medical historiesOrdering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-raysMaking diagnoses and prescribing medicationsTreating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or castingRecording progress notes for follow-up patientsEducating and counseling patientsOrdering and/or carrying out therapy with patientsGiving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional careSupervising GoHealth PA/NPs remotely when cases are presented to you for supervisionAct as a Collaborating Physician for up to four PA/NPs in the credentialing process, including signoff of the PA/NPs delineation of privileges (DOP)20 hours required monthly for per diemNote: this job description is not inclusive of all the duties of the position.
