Shift Details: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday
Work involves a mix of hospital rounds, operating room, and clinic work.
No nighttime or weekend call.
Daily schedule consists of 8 AM - 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.
Support staff includes 3 medical assistants, 1 LPN, a surgical scheduler, and 3 front office staff alongside a practice manager.
Coverage needed for 6 weeks each month.
Average patient load is a minimum of 14 patients per day.
New patient visits are scheduled for a maximum of 30 minutes, while post-operative visits are scheduled for 15 minutes.
Patient population primarily includes adults, with no pediatrics.
Department is a urology office with recent renovations.
Facilities include 9 exam rooms and 3 procedure rooms.
The staff has long tenure within the department.
When on daytime hospital call, responsibilities include rounding, consultations, and operating room tasks, along with occasionally adding to clinic but without templated time for clinic work.
Electronic Medical Record system used is EPIC.
Client has a bed size of 73.
Special procedures performed include ureteroscopies.
Work setting is predominantly in a clinic, with occasional daytime hospital call to see consults.
