JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Urology Job Type: Full-Time Location: Richland, WA 99352 Service Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Reason for Coverage: Vacancy - Long-Term Permanent Search Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Schedule: Mon Fri, 8a 5p Rotating Call On-Call Expectations: Rotational (TBD ratio) Beeper 20-minute response Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 20 minutes Start Date: ASAP PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE Patient Demographics: Predominantly Adult Average Daily Volume: 30 patients per day Admissions & Rounding: TBD / As needed Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes phone consults required Case Mix / Clinical Focus Areas: General Urology, Adult urological disorders, surgical and non-surgical management FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS EMR System: Epic Support Staff: RNs: 3, MAs: 9, PA/NPs: 4, Office Staff: TBD Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience Incentive Bonus: Available details TBD Relocation Assistance: Available details TBD CME Allowance: Available details TBD PTO & Holidays: Per employer policy Medical, Dental, Vision: Comprehensive benefits package available 401(k) or 403(b) with match: Available details TBD Life & Disability Coverage: Available details TBD Malpractice Insurance (with Tail): Covered REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Board Status: Board Certified in Urology State License: WA License required or in process Experience: Fellowship in Urology preferred Other Qualifications: Proficient in Epic EMR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive urological care across outpatient and inpatient settings, including evaluation and management of adult patients with urologic disorders Perform general and advanced urological surgical procedures, including robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic techniques Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 30 patients across clinic and hospital settings Participate in beeper call rotation with 20-minute response time, providing after-hours coverage for urological emergencies Document all patient encounters, procedures, and clinical notes accurately in Epic EMR system REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: General Urology Adult Advanced endoscopic techniques Laparoscopic surgeries Percutaneous nephrolithotomy Ureteroscopy Radical Cystectomy w/ileo-loop conduit Radical prostatectomy Nephrectomy Prostatectomy Pelvic node dissection Robotic surgery Partial nephrectomies/intraoperative ultrasound Adrenalectomy Renal and bladder u/s (w/biopsy) TRUS biopsies Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) Preferred: Penile prosthesis COMMUNITY & LOCATION HIGHLIGHTS About the Area: Richland is part of the Tri-Cities region in southeastern Washington, situated along the Columbia River.
