Job Description Job Description DOC is looking to fill a midlevel provider position for an Orthopaedic Surgeon. This position comes with a competitive salary and excellent benefits!

Education and Experience:

Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Physician's Assistant and eligible for prescriptive authority in the State of Nevada. Orthopaedic background preferred.

Desert Orthopaedic Center is an established, high-volume, well respected outpatient Orthopaedic practice which continues to maintain a team atmosphere.

As a midlevel provider your duties will include:

Perform comprehensive physical examinations on patients

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions

Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work, and medical imaging using an EMR/EHR/EMA

Prescribe medications and other treatments

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans

Utilize utilization management techniques to ensure appropriate use of healthcare resources

Assist in surgery

Requirement:

2 years+ Orthopaedic experience

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a physician's assistant or other medical fields

Must Be: Team-player, impeccably reliable, motivated, hard-working, and punctual.

Willing to take notes, study, and learn to treat patients with the highest level of care.

Able to work in a high-volume and fast-paced clinic environment.

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and medical staff.

Ability to work collaboratively in our team, including other team midlevel providers, medical assistants, and the physician.

Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) and other relevant software.

Current state licensure.

Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or similar.
