Job description

Pile Driver OperatorOverview: Responsible for operating a PD10 Machine to drive production piles/posts. Driving piles into ground without damage to equipment or materials. Assist in installation of various pile types, maintenance, and greasing of pile and operate a skid steer.Responsibilities:Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and proceduresOperates heavy equipment and includes knowledge of equipment functions, running, navigating, detects or assesses problems, mechanical aptitude, and drivingDistribution, layout, assembly and installation of various solar array components required of a solar energy farmDistribution and installation of piles and racking materialsAssist with the placement of piles onto the field with compact track loader prior to installationRemediation of pile for tolerancesCoordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew membersMust have the ability to communicate clearly, listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate responseMay be required to travel to different jobsites on limited noticePerform inspections and maintenance of assigned tools and equipmentEnsure proper care and use of equipment and suppliesQualifications:Education and Work Experience Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years or more related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:Take reasonable care of your own and others health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward Wanzeks Zero Injury principlesThis position requires working in the internal and external environment, flexible work schedule, nights and / or weekends will be requiredRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, read engineering drawings and procedure manualsAdd, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsKnowledge and operation of various GPS systemsCommon sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral formWorkers should be able to work within precise standards of accuracy; follow set procedures and standards, judge distances and slopes accurately; and make decisions based on verifiable standardsWorking knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in structural fills, DOT, and other public and private entitiesWorking Environment: Regularly exposed to outside weather conditionsWhat's in it for you:Financial Wellbeing:Compensation: $24 - $28.50 /hourly, commensurate with experience401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care)Health & Wellness:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partnership.MasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
