Pipe Cutting & Production OperatorWe are looking for a dependable Pipe Cutting & Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing shop. This position is responsible for preparing and cutting pipe to production specifications while assisting with material handling and other shop operations.This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities.Job DutiesOperate band saws, hem saws, and related cutting equipmentAccurately measure and cut pipe according to work orders and specificationsInspect materials and verify measurements before cuttingLoad, unload, and move pipe and other materials throughout the shopAssist with receiving materials from delivery trucksSupport assembly and other production activities as neededLearn to operate additional equipment as training is providedFollow production schedules, work instructions, and safety proceduresMaintain an organized and hazard-free work areaAssist with general shop duties and other tasks as assignedQualificationsPrevious manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferredExperience with saws or industrial cutting equipment is a plusForklift experience preferred, but not requiredComfortable using a tape measure and following detailed specificationsStrong attention to accuracy and qualityAble to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periodsWilling to learn new machinery and work in different areas of the shopReliable, safety-minded, and dependableStrong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
