Job description
Pipe ForemanThe Pipe Foreman will manage a crew as they assemble, layout, install and maintain pipe systems on an industrial new construction.Typical duties include:Reading blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials requiredManaging crew processes, scheduling, costs, employee relations issues, and employment needs.Identifying all tools required for tasks.Identifying safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.Illustrating in-depth knowledge of all pipe fitting processes.Tactically planning operations for scheduling workloads in crews efficiently utilizing assets and resources to minimize cost.Ensuring all QA/QC requirements are met on assigned projects.Attending and representing the company on bid walks and potential projects.Skills, knowledge, qualifications, and experience required include:5+ years' experience with pipefitting processes for industrial construction, maintenance or new construction.1+ years' experience in a supervisory role.Good understanding of the craft environment being supervised and knowledge of basic hand tools.Must be able to pass the Craft Skills Test at or above 70% or have the NCCER certification for your craft.Must have a good understanding of Matrix Service policies and procedures.Must complete the Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training and Client / Site specific training.Obtain and maintain active status within the required drug testing programSubject to random drug screenings.Must pass a Background check.Physical/special requirements include:Employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting.Will talk and hear to communicate.Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls and tools.May be required to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs.Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding using the appropriate fall protection requirements.Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPEHiring range: $43.00 per hourIn addition, full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental and vision plans covering eligible employees and dependents, disability benefits, life and AD&D insurance, an employee assistance program (EAP), a 401(k) plan with company match, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), a robust wellness program and adoption assistance.EEO/M/F/Disability/Vets EmployerWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
