Job description
Pipe LayerJoin our team at Eaton Asphalt as a Pipe Layer and play a crucial role in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipelines for water, sewer, drainage, and other utility systems. This position involves working outdoors on construction sites, digging trenches, laying pipe, and ensuring proper alignment and connection to meet project specifications. If you are physically fit, safety-conscious, and enjoy hands-on work, this role is a great fit for you.Pipe Installation & MaintenanceExcavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation.Lay, join, and secure pipe sections for water, sewer, gas, or drainage systems.Use hand and power tools, including pipe cutters, wrenches, shovels, and trenchers.Align pipes correctly to ensure proper flow and connection.Backfill trenches and compact soil after pipe installation to meet safety and engineering standards.Site Preparation & CleanupPrepare and maintain job site for safety and efficiency.Clean up work areas and equipment at the end of each day.Safety & ComplianceFollow all OSHA and company safety regulations.Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure a safe working environment.Report any hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.Teamwork & CommunicationCollaborate with equipment operators, laborers, and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.Communicate clearly to understand project specifications and changes.Desired QualificationsPrior experience in pipe laying, trenching, or underground utility work preferred.Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.Physical ability to lift heavy materials, dig, and work in trenches.Knowledge of pipe materials, fittings, and installation techniques.Commitment to safety and teamwork.Valid driver's license is a plus.EOE/M/F/Disabled/Veteran/DFSP
