Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation.Location: Riggs Fabrication FacilityReports To: Fabrication ManagerPosition Summary:The Pipe Welder is responsible for fitting and welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems used in industrial and construction projects. This position requires the ability to work safely, read and interpret drawings, and produce high-quality welds that meet applicable codes, specifications, and customer requirements.Essential Responsibilities:Perform FCAW, and GMAW welding processes as required.Read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, spool sheets, and weld procedures.Fabricate and weld carbon steel process pipingInspect materials and completed welds for quality and conformance to specifications.Operate grinders, torches, beveling equipment, and other fabrication tools safely.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.Qualifications & Requirements:3+ years of industrial pipe welding experience preferred.Ability to pass a Loenbro welding test and applicable project weld qualifications.2G,3G GMAW/FCAW minimum requirements; 6G preferred6G GTAW/SMAW helpful, not requiredStrong understanding of weld symbols and fabrication drawings.Knowledge of pipe fabrication, fit-up tolerances, and welding procedures.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fabrication shop environment.Reliable attendance and commitment to quality workmanship.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience in industrial, power, semiconductor, mining, or manufacturing environments.Current welding certifications or documented weld qualifications.Forklift, aerial lift, or rigging experiencePreferred:Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers. High attention to detail. Must be a quick learner and motivated. Must be able to work as a team and solve problems.Work Environment:Shop Work EnvironmentPotential exposure to hot summer temperatures.This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
