This position focuses on high-quality welding of high-pressure piping systems in accordance with industry codes, project specifications, and company standards.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with at least two years of certified pipe welding experience who takes pride in producing clean welds, maintaining safe work practices, and delivering consistent, high-quality craftsmanship on plumbing and mechanical construction projects.Who We AreSince 1982, Bingham Mechanical, Inc. has been a trusted leader in the Plumbing & Heating industry throughout Southeastern Idaho. We value teamwork, integrity, and long-term relationships with our employees and project partners.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform high-quality pipe welding using TIG, MIG, and Stick methods on carbon steel and stainless steel piping systemsWeld high-pressure piping systems in compliance with ASME, AWS, and applicable mechanical codesRead and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and welding procedure specifications (WPS)Complete visual inspections of welds to ensure quality standards are metFollow all OSHA regulations and company safety proceduresWork collaboratively with plumbers, pipefitters, foremen, and project managers to meet production goalsMaintain welding certifications and participate in ongoing safety and skills trainingProduce welds that meet quality standards with minimal reworkMaintain tools and equipment in safe working conditionQualificationsMinimum 2 years of experience as a certified pipe welderProficiency with TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processesCurrent welding certifications (ASME or AWS preferred)Strong understanding of pipe fitting, layout, and fabricationAbility to read and interpret blueprints and welding specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSafety-focused mindset with knowledge of construction safety standardsValid driver's licenseBenefitsHealth Insurance OptionsMedical (50–80% coverage for employees and children)DentalVision401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off & Paid HolidaysCompany-Provided Life InsuranceCareer Growth OpportunitiesWork-Life BalanceCompany & Team EventsWork ScheduleFull-TimeMonday–Friday40 hours per weekOvertime may be available depending on project needsWork LocationIn-person roleBased in Idaho Falls, IDProjects located throughout surrounding Southeastern Idaho areasEqual Employment Opportunity StatementWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
