Pipe WelderLabor One is currently hiring pipe welders in San Diego, CA at a shipyard.$160 per diem, if eligible.Job requirements:Three years of experience in weldingKnowledge of welding procedures and various types of welding equipmentProficient in flat, vertical, overhead, and horizontal arc, SMAW and flux-core, tig welding and air arc skillsAbility to comprehend written and verbal instructions (in English)Ability to hear warning signals, read and comprehend safety instructions, regulations and warningsMust pass a background check, vision test and drug testAbility to work any shift and overtimePipe welding assessment:FCAW Fillet weld plates: 2F 3F 4F (VT test)Steel backing butt joint 6X6 3/8" thick: 2G 3G 4G (VT and UT test)Butt joint with ceramic backing 12X8 ¾" thick: 1G 2G 3G (VT and UT test)Simulation: Wraps 2F 3F 36" in length, Diagonal 3F 4F 36" in length, In and out corners 2F 4F 6", Water tight collar, Air arc fillet welds (VT testing)GTAW Pipe welding assessment: 6G position - 2.5 "copper nickel pipe butt joint schedule 40 (VT and bent test), 5F, 4F position - 3" copper nickel pipe sleeve 200 (VT and macro etch test), 5F, 4F position - 1" mild steel pipe schedule socket weld 40 (VT and macro etch test)Send resume to
