Job description
Job TitleThis is NOT an oil and gas line position. This position requires experiences in PVC, HDPE, and ductile iron installation. Also needs high levels of experience in water, sewer, storm drain pipeline and associated structures. Installation of rural and fresh water distribution in an oil field is a main duty.DutiesKey player on the pipe installation and excavationsHandling and placing pipe, valves, manholes, etc.Function as a spotter for heavy equipment operatorsInstalling ductile iron, water, sewer, storm drain pipeline and associated structuresInstalling rural and fresh water distribution in an oil fieldOngoing cleanup responsibilitiesFencing skills are a mustSets up lasers and grade devices, understands blueprints, grades and elevationsFamiliar with PVC, HDPE and Metal waterlines, sewers and storm piping.Familiar with mechanical joint installation such as flanges, megalugs, mechanical couplers etc.Uses a chainsaw, axe, or other tool to remove trees and brush from the pipeline right-of-wayUses chopsaws, compactors, and other tools related to pipe installationFamiliar with OSHA trench safety regulations and various types of shoring systemsFamiliar with rigging for pipe, manholes, shoring etc.Operates pumps for dewateringCleans and prepares PVC or HDPE pipe for installation. Installing pipe jointsTransports parts and supplies to the jobsite from a storage site or the nearest townOther duties as assignedRequirementsVery physical job, must be able to lift 0-125lbs from a variety of levels up to 6ft. verticallyExperience working outside in the elements and the ability to work overtime and nights if neededAbility to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers and customersAble to read and understand company policies and proceduresAble to read and interpret plans and specificationsTeamwork skills but able to work on ownSelf motivatedProblem solving skillsAble to work under pressureDemonstrated commitment to safety as expressed in JMAC Energy Services corporate value People First, Safety AlwaysValid US issued driver's license with a good driving recordAbility to pass background and drug and alcohol testsAvailability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as requiredAbility to work safely in all types of weatherTimely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all JMAC Energy Services employees.
