Job description
PipelayerLocation: Washington, DC | Maryland | VirginiaPay: $23–$28/hour | Non-Exempt, HourlyAnchor Construction is seeking a dependable pipelayer to support construction projects including utilities, concrete, site development, and infrastructure work. This position supports daily jobsite operations while maintaining safety and productivity across multiple locations.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Identify, install, connect, repair, and replace various types of pipe and fittings.Use hand tools, pipe lasers, tapping machines, and transit levels.Read blueprints to determine pipe locations, elevations, and slopes.Cut pipe to required lengths and angles and properly use installation materials, including glues and lubricants.Perform physically demanding/manual labor associated with pipe installation.Follow all company safety procedures and applicable OSHA and state safety requirements.Report safety hazards or jobsite concerns to appropriate supervision.Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Must be at least 21 years of ageConstruction experience preferredAbility to use basic hand and power toolsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical laborAvailability for overtime, nights, and weekends as neededAbility to communicate in English; Spanish a plusBenefits: Paid holidays, 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability plans, EAP, commuter benefits, and voluntary coverages.Since 1985, Anchor construction Corporation has been building the infrastructure communities rely on every day.
