If you thrive on planning, scheduling, and coordinating manufacturing operations while balancing production capacity, inventory needs, and customer commitments, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career.ENTEK is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Planner Scheduler - Manufacturing to support project execution and manufacturing operations through effective planning, scheduling, and coordination. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and reporting detailed project and production schedules while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders and major project milestones. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical abilities with scheduling expertise and a solid understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, material management, and project execution. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a developing planning professional to expand their expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to ENTEK's continued growth and success.In this role, you will:Develops and maintains production schedules on all machine shop resources, internal or external, for one site: with a goal of maximizing efficiency and reducing resource downtime.Creates, schedules, and release production orders to manufacture products for customer sales orders and projects or inventory replenishment.Create new routes, modify existing routes, update BOMs, pick lists, and process times for routes.Possess knowledge of parts, materials, and processes.Maintains ongoing understanding of internal and external backlogs / lead-times. Quote lead times and confirm lead time to sales and project management for machine shop requirements.Coordinates and communicates effectively with internal departments and stakeholders.Ability to work with varying workloads, and timelines.Facilitates regular meetings with sales, operations, and project management reporting on manufacturing lead times, costing and backlog information.Facilitates weekly meetings with machine shop leadership sharing the upcoming schedule and reaching consensus before posting.Self-driven, consistently perform high-quality work in a safe manner without supervision.Follow Lean manufacturing utilizing tools such as Kaizens, 5S, RIE's and other work area standards.Represent ENTEK with the highest standard of professional conduct when interacting with suppliers and customers.RequirementsThe Manufacturing Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling machine shop resources to ensure machined products are produced efficiently and delivered on time to meet project requirements and inventory goals. This role involves evaluating raw material availability and machine capacity, creating detailed production schedules by machine and priority, and coordinating with machine shop leadership before releasing production orders.Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), or similar platforms.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, production tracking, reporting, and data analysis.Understanding of engineering, construction, manufacturing, and production sequencing principles.Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling concepts.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.Education & Experience· High School diploma or equivalent· 2 years' experience in Production Planning and Scheduling of manufactured components.· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical drawings.· Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, employees, and vendors in person and via phone or email correspondence.· Ability to work in Excel spreadsheets with formulas.· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.· Strong interpersonal skills.· Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Physical Requirements· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or listen in the shop environment.· The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, or sit for extended lengths of time.· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.· Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Your Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, exempt position working Monday through Friday, day shift.What Makes ENTEK Different ENTEK is more than a manufacturing company—we're a team driven by values.
