InServ is looking for a Plant 3D Database Administrator to support our growing VDC/BIM/Design team and help build, maintain, and improve the Plant 3D environment behind our Process & Hygienic projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, creating standards, and finding ways to make designers and project teams faster, more accurate, and more efficient.
You'll work closely with our VDC leadership, designers, project teams, fabrication teams, and field operations to make sure our Plant 3D tools, content, and standards support the way our projects actually get designed, fabricated, and built.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build and maintain Plant 3D templates, piping specs, catalogs, drawing standards, parameters, and database content
Set up Plant 3D projects and models so project teams can hit the ground running
Develop and maintain InServ piping standards that support efficient drawing and isometric production
Create new parts, specs, templates, and content as project and fabrication needs evolve
Partner with VDC, project, fabrication, estimating/preconstruction, and field teams to improve how Plant 3D supports construction
Help troubleshoot Plant 3D modeling, drawing, and database issues for designers and VDC team members
Train designers on new standards, procedures, software updates, and technology
Support model, drawing, and report reviews when project schedules require additional help
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, accuracy, consistency, and the designer experience
Work with VDC leadership on new technology initiatives and help keep InServ at the forefront of VDC processes and capabilities
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Strong Autodesk Plant 3D database administration experience
Hands-on Plant 3D modeling, layout, and drawing/drafting skills
Experience working withcatalogs, piping specifications, parts, templates, and database content
A good understanding of Process and Hygienic piping materials, standards, and documentation
Experience with Navisworks
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
The ability to collaborate with designers, project teams, fabrication, and field personnel
A mindset focused on quality and continuous improvement
Experience with Revit i s a plus, but isn't required.
LOCATION & FLEXIBILITY
We prefer candidates who are local to Central North Carolina or willing to relocate. A hybrid arrangement may be available for candidates who are within a reasonable distance and can be onsite when project and team needs require it.
