Job description
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of its Baltimore-area manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role partnering closely with plant leadership and operations to drive financial performance, improve processes, and provide meaningful business insight.
Responsibilities
Lead all accounting and financial reporting for the manufacturing facility
Manage month-end close, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Partner with plant and operations leadership on financial performance, costs, margins, and productivity
Oversee inventory, cost accounting, standard costs, and manufacturing variances
Develop and monitor financial KPIs and provide actionable analysis to management
Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems
Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
Lead and develop the accounting team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably within manufacturing
Strong manufacturing accounting and cost accounting experience
Experience with inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Strong ERP and Excel skills
Ability to work hands-on while effectively partnering with operations and senior leadership
CPA or CMA is a plus
