Job description
An established manufacturer is seeking a Plant Controller to lead finance for a production site supporting government programs. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll own the site's revenue, costing, close, and forecasting, lead a small finance team, and serve as the go-to finance partner for site and corporate leadership as the business scales and moves onto a new ERP platform.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience in manufacturing, defense/aerospace, or construction
Prior experience as a plant, site, or division controller
Hands-on ASC 606 over-time revenue recognition on long-term contracts (EAC/ETC, cost-to-cost)
Strong standard costing, inventory, and variance analysis experience
Confident communicator who can present results to senior and corporate leadership
Must be a U.S. person
CPA, FAR/DFARS/CAS exposure, and ERP implementation experience a plus
Key Responsibilities
Own over-time revenue recognition and estimate-to-complete reviews for multi-year contracts
Manage standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance reporting for the site
Lead the monthly close, budget, forecast, and annual operating plan
Partner with the site GM and operations leaders on KPIs, cost reduction, and scenario planning
Maintain internal controls, indirect rates, and audit readiness
Serve as finance lead on an upcoming ERP rolloutLead and develop a two-person finance team
