Plant Controller
Queens, NY
Our client is a mid-sized, successful and well-established manufacturing company.They are looking to hire a talented Plant Controller to manage the general accounting, cost accounting and reporting for the company. They are looking for someone with prior Controller level experience within a manufacturing company, preferably in the defense, aerospace, electronics manufacturing space. This role requires working fully onsite and offering a salary in the range of $130,000 - $150,000 plus bonus, strong benefits package inclusive of health insurance, 401k with match, tuition assistance and a generous PTO program.
Responsibilities of the position include:
You will manage day-to-day accounting for the plant
Oversee a team of three
Evaluate current processes, offer improvement ideas
Heavy involvement in month-end close, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, etc.
Assist outside auditors with year-end audits
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
10+ years of accounting experience required, CPA license is a plus
Experience in the aerospace, defense and/or electronics manufacturing field a must
3+ years of management experience required
Strong ERP experience
Top notch organizational skills and the ability to collaborate across the company
Strong communication skills and ability to work well with company executives
