We offer day shift hours with a competitive hourly wage, plus a benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, an impressive 401K match, and much more!Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pmAdditional hours may be required during the week or weekend depending on breakdowns and project needsAreas of AccountabilityAll areas of accountability to be delivered with GRIT - our values of Generosity, Relationships, Integrity, and TeamworkOversee and Repair Electrical Equipment & Components Backup Support for General Maintenance DutiesEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, low/hire voltage, and lighting systemsPerform routine and preventative maintenance and inspections on electrical systems and and/or production equipmentTroubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devicesRead and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematicsPromptly respond to emergency radio calls; work efficiently to repair machinery with minimal downtimeUnderstand basic HVAC, Freon and CO2 systems and well as various testing equipmentAccurately complete work orders to document materials used and time spent on maintenance projectsAssist other maintenance or production personnel, when requested and/or time allowsAssist with inventory control, as neededSafely operate skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and scissors lifts, if neededWork safely following all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiativesFollow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations; comply with all regulatory requirements for food safetySituations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.QualificationsElectrical degree or completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship ProgramExperience working as an electrician or technician, preferred; manufacturing experience, a plusAdvanced understanding of electrical codes and systems, control wiring, safety systems, blueprints, and maintenance & repairsExperience with Studio 5000, SCADA or PLC Programming, a plusFamiliarity with HVAC systems, generators, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), preferredAbility to independently solve problems, use resources, and execute tasksProficiency in using tools such as multimeters and meggersAwareness of the importance of food safety standards while performing equipment maintenanceExperience with skid steers, forklifts, telehandlers, and scissors lifts, preferred; pass in-house certifications upon hireKnowledge of safety procedures such as confined space entry, line opening, fall protection, lockout tagout, and hot workEffectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers and follow written and/or verbal instructionsAccurately read and understand signs, labels, warnings, directions, operator manuals, service manuals, and wiring schematics associated with the maintenance and/or operation of instruments, equipment, and/or chemical usageProficient in basic math skills, measuring, and reading data trends; accurately and legibly record informationWillingness and ability to work extra hours as needed during the week or weekendAbility to work in a facility that processes pigsMust be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposesPhysical RequirementsConsistently push and/or pull heavy objectsConsistently bend at the waist and/or knees or crawlConsistently climb stairs and/or ladders up to 10 feet or be elevated in scissors lifts up to 40 feetOccasionally lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level; rarely lift up to 75 poundsStand up to 100% of the workdayAbility to distinguish colors (ex: wire color codes)Tolerance of varying environmental conditions – heat, cold, and/or wet and slippery conditions
