Job description
Movement Search and Delivery is working with a leading manufacturing company in Elkhart County to identify and evaluate a Plant Manager
Plant Manager (Night Shift) – Production-Focused Role
Step into a Plant Manager title at one of the largest operations in the space.
This is a night shift Plant Manager role (6:00pm – 4:30am) supporting a ~1,000-person operation that’s continuing to grow as production is consolidated into this site.
This is not a “sit in the office” Plant Manager role.
This is:
On the floor
Managing through supervisors
Keeping production moving in a fast-paced, labor-intensive environment
🧭 What you’ll actually be doing:
Running night shift operations and hitting production targets
Leading through supervisors / team leads (not just individual contributors)
Troubleshooting bottlenecks and keeping flow moving
Driving accountability, safety, and output across the shift
Coaching leaders and building a stronger production team
The environment:
High-volume chassis production (welding + assembly)
Growing operation with new production being brought onsite
Big team, real responsibility, high visibility
Reports directly to the General Manager
What they’re looking for:
Strong production leader (Production Manager, Ops Manager, etc.)
Experience in manufacturing — metals, assembly, automotive, or similar
Comfortable managing in a hands-on, floor-driven environment
Experience leading through supervisors in a multi-shift operation
Someone who can handle pace, pressure, and growth
No degree required. This is about leadership and execution.
Comp:
$110K–$130K base + full benefits
