Description
\ N
Provide medical care ranging from minor incidents to acting as a first responder.
\ N Support and assist Safety Managers in coordinating and managing health services.
\ N Maintain workers compensation information for claims, and help schedule doctor visits and transportation.
\ N Coordinate and perform pre-employment physicals and drug testing (post-offer, accident, and random).
\ N Develop and implement employee health and wellness programs such as health assessments, immunization programs, medical care, wellness education, counseling, etc.
\ N Maintain active and positive ongoing relationship with local occupational health clinic.
\ N Manage hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection and ergonomics programs including development and delivery of employee training.
\ N All other relevant duties to the job.
\ N
Requirements \ N
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required OR Certified EMT, Paramedic, etc.
\ N Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain.
\ N Prior occupational health experience within a similar environment preferred.
\ N Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain.
\ N Ability to ensure confidentiality of employee health information.
\ N Knowledge of OSHA, ADA,FMLA regulations.
\ N Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
\ N
Physical Requirements \ N
Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
\ N Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
\ N Exposure to noise (>
85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
\ N Possible exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
\ N Possible exposure to wet and cold environment.
\ N Work around live and/orraw animal odors.
\ N
