Job DetailsJob DetailsPrinciple assignment is manual unskilled work, using various hand tools and equipment to support production within the manufacturing environment. Associate must demonstrate the ability to be moved to a higher job class as positions become available.Preferred Requirements1 year of experience in manufacturing environmentAbility to operate and use efficiently computerized production systems (i.e., Plant Workflow, MRP and Inventory Management systems)Required Education / Experience / SkillsHigh School Diploma or GEDProficient verbal and written English communication skillsEssential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDistinguish different product sizes and lengthsSecure label, label products, cartons, packs, thread protectors, etc.Meet established quality standards for all work performedComplete daily work as scheduled for maximum utilization of productionAnticipate changeovers and have readily available material and equipment required to minimize loss of production timeMeet production volume required in accordance with established methods and standards and in accordance with the production scheduleEnsure use of safety devices and PPEMaintain a constant alert for unsafe conditions and practices and correct or report them immediatelyResponsible for housekeeping in various assigned areas and the plant facility in generalClean all products from oil, dust and/or paintAssist as "helper" to other production associates and operators as neededCross-trains in department processes and procedures as directed by supervision and in various departments on machine operation and/or production functions for possible movement to higher job classResponsible for identification, documentation, segregation, evaluation and disposition of non-conforming product, services, and systemsAll department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessaryPerforms other duties as required and directed by Plant SupervisionWhen necessary, does similar or general type work in other classificationsMay be required to rotate shifts or work at other nearby facilities as requiredLevel of SupervisionModerate DirectionSupervisory ResponsibilityNoneTraining and DevelopmentYou are expected to participate in training and development activities throughout your employment with the company to ensure the excellence of the performance of your assigned duties.Travel RequirementsMay be required to rotate shifts or work at other nearby facilities as requiredTechnical SkillsNumerical and Mechanical Reasoning AbilityProblem solving and Issue ResolutionEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
