Job description
CNC Plasma Table OperatorWe are looking for a CNC Plasma Table Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing or fabrication experience and be comfortable reading blueprints, operating machinery, and working with steel and sheet metal.Responsibilities:Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting equipment according to production schedules and work instructionsLoad and unload steel plate, sheet metal, and structural materials using forklifts, cranes, or other approved lifting equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and cut filesVerify material type, thickness, and dimensions before processingLoad machine programs and confirm proper machine setup before productionMonitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy and consistent qualityInspect completed parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other measuring toolsRemove slag, clean parts, and prepare components for fabrication or weldingIdentify quality issues and report nonconforming materials or production concernsPerform routine preventative maintenance, including replacing consumables and cleaning equipmentMaintain accurate production recordsAssist other fabrication and manufacturing departments as neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow company safety policies and OSHA regulationsQualifications:High school diploma or GED preferredPrevious manufacturing or fabrication experienceAbility to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawingsBasic computer skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Experience:CNC plasma cutting experienceExperience with Hypertherm, Burny, Messer, or similar CNC control systemsForklift and/or overhead crane experienceExperience working with structural steel or sheet metal fabricationExpress Employment Professionals is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
