Plastic FabricatorChaska, MN | Full-Time | 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) $24-$27/hour depending on experience Overtime available as neededBuild custom retail displays seen in stores across the country.At Exactec, we design and manufacture custom retail displays, signage, fixtures, and point-of-purchase solutions for national retailers and display design firms. We're looking for an experienced Plastic Fabricator who takes pride in precision craftsmanship and enjoys hands-on fabrication work.In this role, you'll cut, bend, machine, glue, and assemble acrylic and other plastic materials into high-quality custom displays. The ideal candidate has previous fabrication, manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, sign-making, plastics, or display-building experience and is comfortable reading blueprints and working with a variety of shop equipment.What You'll DoCut, shape, drill, bend, route, and finish acrylic and other plastic materialsAssemble custom retail displays using plastic cementing, gluing, and bonding techniquesRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specificationsOperate fabrication equipment including table saws, router tables, edgers, jointers, heat benders, and other shop machineryInspect finished products to ensure quality, fit, finish, and dimensional accuracyKit, package, and prepare completed products for shipmentAssist in troubleshooting production and fabrication issuesSupport team members and help meet production schedulesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentWhat We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsPrevious fabrication, manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, sign-making, plastics, or related hands-on experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power toolsAbility to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipProblem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyAbility to stand for extended periods and safely lift materials as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience fabricating acrylic or plastic productsExperience with retail displays, signage, cabinetry, millwork, or custom fixturesExperience using routers, table saws, heat benders, edgers, and related fabrication equipmentExperience with precision measuring tools and quality inspectionsLeadership experience or experience training and mentoring othersWhy Join Exactec?Competitive pay: $24-$27/hour based on experienceFull-time, stable employmentMonday-Friday day shift scheduleClean, organized manufacturing environmentMedical, dental, and vision insurance beginning the first of the month after 30 daysCompany-paid life insurance and long-term disabilityOptional supplemental insurance plansPaid Time Off and 401(k) with company match after 90 daysOpportunity to develop specialized fabrication skills and grow your careerAbout ExactecFounded in 1976, Exactec has grown into a full-service plastic fabrication and screen-printing company serving retailers and point-of-purchase design firms nationwide.
