WET harnesses the elements of nature—water, fire, ice, fog, and light—to evoke emotion, transcend the ordinary, and captivate audiences around the globe.Position SummaryThe Plastic Injection Molding Operator is responsible for safely operating Arburg plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components for WET's proprietary products. This role focuses on following established work instructions, loading and unloading materials and parts, performing basic quality checks, packaging finished products, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.This is an operator-level role. The Operator will follow established machine settings and production procedures and will notify a supervisor, lead, or technician when equipment issues, quality concerns, or process changes are needed.ResponsibilitiesOperate plastic injection molding machines, including 77-, 275-, and 750-ton Arburg machines, in accordance with established work instructions and safety proceduresLoad raw materials, inserts, molds, or components as directedRemove molded parts from machines and perform trimming, de-gating, sorting, and basic finishing as requiredInspect finished parts for visual defects, correct dimensions, color, surface quality, and overall conformance to work instructions, sample parts, and specificationsIdentify and report defective, damaged, or out-of-specification parts to the Lead, Supervisor, or TechnicianPackage, label, count, and prepare finished parts for the next production step or shipmentAccurately complete production records, quality documentation, material identification, and other required paperworkMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including proper disposal of scrap and adherence to 5S practicesFollow all company safety policies, including required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe lifting practices, and machine guarding proceduresPerform basic operator-level machine care, such as keeping the machine area clean and reporting leaks, unusual noises, alarms, or other equipment concernsAssist with secondary operations as needed, including cutting, drilling, sanding, grinding, shearing, sawing, bending, tapping, assembly, and packagingSupport material movement and replenishment as directedWork effectively with team members, Leads, Technicians, Quality, and Production Supervisors to meet daily production goalsMaintain flexibility to support changing production priorities and work overtime as needed.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications1+ year of experience operating plastic injection molding machines in a manufacturing or production environment preferredExperience operating Arburg injection molding machines is a plusAbility to follow written and verbal work instructions, safety requirements, and quality standardsAbility to perform repetitive work while maintaining attention to detail and product qualityBasic ability to inspect parts against samples, visual standards, drawings, or specificationsExperience with trimming, de-gating, packaging, labeling, or other secondary manufacturing operations preferredAbility to use basic hand tools and measuring tools, as requiredAbility to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members regarding production, safety, or quality concernsGood verbal and written communication skillsReliable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a production teamWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, as business needs requirePhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly using proper lifting techniquesAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workdayAbility to perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movementsAbility to bend, reach, twist, and work overhead as neededAbility to safely perform work in a manufacturing environment around production equipmentWET is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
