We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as a Plastic A-Technician!Benefits of Working With UsCompetitive compensation including paid time off and holidaysMedical insurance (HDHP with HSA and PPO options)Prescription drug coverageDental and vision insurancePre-tax flexible spending account401(k) retirement savings with employer matchBasic and supplemental life and AD&D insuranceShort-term and long-term disability insurancePre-tax dependent care flexible spending accountWellness program with diabetes prevention, condition care, preventive care, and annual flu shotEmployee Assistance ProgramRequirements3-5 years - Experience in setup and processing of injection molding and/or profile extrusion linesBasic troubleshooting ability of mechanical and electrical systems (water & vacuum pumps, blenders, punch presses, labelers, etc.)Strong mechanical aptitudeProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Able to lift up to 50-70 lbs. safelyExperience driving forklifts (or be willing to train to attain license)Duties and ResponsibilitiesHang tooling in/on injection molding machine/extruder and set all operating parameters per the setup sheetSetup all downstream and packaging equipment needed for each productStart injection and extrusion processes and troubleshoot processing issues to get and maintain in-spec product.Troubleshoot downstream equipment issuesUsing statistical quality control software, enter key process parameters and product dimensions at product startup and at 2-hour intervals to ensure product qualityEnter production information into computer system as skids/racks are completed or at end of shiftEnsure all scrap and purgings have been properly taken care of, either through grinding or disposalPerform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipmentRelieve packers for breaks as necessaryHousekeeping: work as a team to keep department cleanMiscellaneous duties as assignedPosition DetailsFull Time 1st shift 7am - 3pmLocated in: Lancaster, PAWe are proud of our commitment to equal employment opportunity for all qualified job candidates and associates and ask that all associates support diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
