Plate Roll OperatorWe're looking for a Plate Roll Operator who takes pride in precision and knows how to work steel the right way. If you have experience in heavy fabrication, can read prints, and understand how to form material to exact specifications, this is an opportunity to be part of a team that builds critical components for ASME pressure vessel applications. At Uni-Form Components Corp., our operators are hands-on, detail-focused, and play a key role in delivering quality products that meet strict code and customer requirements.Position SummaryThe Plate Roll Operator is responsible for forming steel plate to required specifications and preparing components for welding. This role works closely with production and welding teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency throughout the process.Key Responsibilities• Operate plate rolling equipment to form steel to required radius and specifications • Read and interpret drawings, work orders, and specifications • Verify product dimensions, angles, and tolerances throughout the process • Adjust and correct radius as needed to meet specifications • Grind surfaces and prepare bevel edges for welding • Tack weld components in preparation for final welding • Safely operate equipment including forklift, overhead crane, and plate roller • Move materials and finished product within the work area • Perform daily equipment checks and basic maintenance • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment • Support production schedules, including overtime and shift flexibility as neededQualifications• Minimum 5 to 6 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in heavy fabrication • Ability to read blueprints and drawings • Experience operating or willingness to be certified on forklift and overhead crane • Basic math and measurement skills • Experience with steel forming, rolling, or grinding preferredWhat We're Looking For• Strong attention to detail and quality • Hands-on, reliable work ethic • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment • Team player who supports production goals • Willingness to learn and grow within the roleWork Environment• Manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy equipment, heat, and noise • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs • Required use of PPE at all timesWhat We Offer• Competitive pay based on experience • Benefits effective after 30 days (medical, dental, vision) • 401(k) with automatic enrollment after 90 days, including company match • Paid time off and holidays • Opportunities for growth within a stable, established company • Team-oriented environment with strong leadership supportCompany StatementUni-Form Components Corp. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
