Job description
SNI's client, a well?established organization is seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Virginia to provide leadership, operational oversight, and strategic direction for its Survey department as a Survey Manager.
This role is ideal for a seasoned survey professional who excels in managing teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving high?quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple survey crews and technical staff, ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient project execution.
Oversee daily operations, staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation for the Virginia Survey department.
Develop, implement, and maintain organizational policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations governing survey practices.
Collaborate with internal client service teams to support and promote survey capabilities.
Mentor and develop survey personnel, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
Support continuous process improvement initiatives and contribute to departmental planning.
Qualifications
10+ years of professional surveying experience .
Associate degree in Surveying or a related field preferred.
Active Virginia Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required .
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high?quality work within scope, schedule, and budget.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation for this position starts in the range of $120-140K. Insurance, and other benefit options that are offered include: Medical, Dental and Vision
