Construction PlumberTesla is seeking a skilled Construction Plumber to join our dynamic Engineering-Procurement-Construction (EPC) project team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on advancing energy sustainability. We are looking for candidates who bring passion for solving challenging problems, a commitment to teamwork, and a positive attitude towards hard work.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and maintain a wide range of piping systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, compressed air, nitrogen supply, chemical supply and waste, soft water, and argonWork with various piping materials such as PVC, CPVC, and copper, and demonstrate knowledge of ProPress fittingsInstall and maintain pumps, including transfer, sump, and both single and multistage centrifugal pumpsUse complex plumbing, mechanical, and process piping schematics to plan work scopes, install improvements, and troubleshoot issuesConsult manuals and interpret piping diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematicsDisplay positive attitudes and practice good work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy, and goals of the companyRequirementsMinimum of 5+ years of experience in industrial plumbingKnowledge of industrial and process gases and liquids, hot and cold-water services, plumbing systems, and industrial chemical systemsProficiency in pipe section installation using couplings, clamps, screws, cement/glue, caulking, soldering, welding, and press-fit connections (ProPress)Ability to produce parts lists and work plans based on drawings or field observationsThoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planningStrong initiative and the ability to work independently and effectively with othersWillingness to travel to other projects as needed
