Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Plumber - Preferably a Master or Journeyman with a Virginia State Backflow Prevention Device Worker License (VA DPOR) to join our team! The selected individual will test, certify and repair backflow prevention assemblies within the Northern VA, DC and MD area.
Responsibilities:
The Backflow Technician / Plumber will perform the testing, certification, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of backflow prevention assemblies throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
Primary Responsibilities:
Test, certify, inspect, repair, install, and maintain backflow prevention assemblies
Diagnose and troubleshoot backflow assembly failures
Complete accurate testing reports, certifications, and required documentation electronically
Communicate professionally with customers, inspectors, property managers, and water authorities
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and testing equipment
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Represent Backflow Technology professionally at all customer locations
Qualifications:
Current Virginia State Backflow Prevention Device Worker (VA DPOR) License
Virginia Master or Journeyman Plumber License or actively pursuing licensure
Previous plumbing, maintenance, or other related mechanical experience
Valid State Driver's License with a clean driving records
Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and security clearance
Ability to safely perform physical demands of the position
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Flexible schedule with willingness to travel throughout the DMV region as needed
Work Location:
This is not a remote position. Work is performed at customer locations throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland using a company-provided vehicle.
