Plumber (Temporary)Hoskinson Contracting is a premier, large scale contracting firm in the beautiful area of Gillette, WY. We have high quality resources and state of the art technology to provide any type of service to our customers including Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Master Carpentry, and large-scale Concrete and Dirt Work. We have a strong vision to transform the construction industry with our relentless commitment to excellence, and we foster a culture of safety and integrity which makes us a premier employer who values collaboration, innovation, and integrity.The Plumber (Temporary) is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures on assigned construction projects. This role supports project timelines by ensuring plumbing work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and project specifications. This is a project-based position expected to last approximately 3–6 months, depending on project needs and progress. The primary work site for this temporary position will be at Douglas, Wyoming.Duties/Responsibilities:Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for water, gas, drainage, and sewage systemsRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine layout and installation requirementsMeasure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power toolsInspect plumbing systems and identify issues or code violations; perform necessary repairs or replacementsCollaborate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to coordinate work and maintain project schedulesEnsure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes and safety regulationsTest plumbing systems for leaks and proper functionalityMaintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company safety standardsOperate equipment and tools safely and efficientlyDocument work completed and report progress or issues to leadershipAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety requirementsOther duties as assignedEducation/Certifications/Licenses:High School Diploma or GED requiredValid Wyoming Apprentice/Journeyman Plumber License preferred (or equivalent experience – confirm)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred or ability to obtainValid Driver's License requiredExperience:1 to 3 years of experience in commercial or residential plumbingExperience working on construction job sites preferredFamiliarity with plumbing systems, materials, and installation methodsExperience reading blueprints and technical drawingsRequired Skills/Abilities:Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and safety practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication and coordination skillsTime management skills with ability to meet project deadlinesPhysical stamina and ability to work in demanding environmentsPhysical Demands/Working Environment:Physical Demands:Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and liftingAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistanceUse of hands and tools for extended periodsAbility to climb ladders and work in confined spacesWorking Environment:Primarily outdoor construction site environmentExposure to varying weather conditions, including heat and coldExposure to dust, fumes, noise, and confined spacesRequires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)List any other physical requirements: Operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.Benefits:Health Insurance: The company covers 100% of health insurance premiums, including medical, dental, vision, short term disability, long term disability, and Life Insurance coverage.Supplemental Insurance: Employees have voluntary access to additional policies such as hospital, cancer coverage, accident insurance, and voluntary life through a supplemental provider.Retirement Benefits: Enjoy a generous retirement plan with a competitive company match - no waiting period required.Paid Time Off (PTO): Benefit from a generous PTO policy.Professional Development: Hoskinson Contracting supports the professional growth of all employees by offering assistance for continuing or additional education with Human Resources approval.Hoskinson Contracting is an equal opportunity employer.
