Plumbing Service Technician Development Program (16-Week Training Program)Build a career in a modern, high-demand skilled trade.Metro Plumbing, Heating & Air is hiring for our Plumbing Service Technician Development Program, a structured 16-week training program designed for individuals who want to become professional residential plumbing service technicians.This is not a construction plumbing role and not a traditional apprenticeship.This program is designed to develop customer-focused service professionals who can diagnose residential plumbing issues, communicate clearly with homeowners, and confidently recommend solutions.Our technicians use modern tools, technology, tablets, diagnostic equipment, and hands-on field training while working directly alongside experienced service professionals.A Sales & Customer Communication Focused ProgramThis is not a "behind-the-scenes" plumbing role.This program heavily focuses on:Customer communicationBuilding trust with homeownersExplaining plumbing issues clearlyPresenting repair and replacement optionsProfessional sales conversationsHelping customers make confident decisionsAt Metro Plumbing, Heating & Air, our technicians are expected to do more than fix plumbing problems.They must also:Communicate professionallyEducate homeownersPresent solutions confidentlyHandle pricing conversations comfortablyDeliver a high-level customer experienceBecause of this, individuals uncomfortable with customer interaction or sales conversations may struggle in this role.What You Will LearnDuring the program, you will learn:Residential plumbing fundamentalsPlumbing diagnostics and troubleshootingModern residential water systemsHow to communicate professionally with customersHow to explain plumbing issues in simple termsHow to present repair and replacement optionsHow to build trust and confidence with homeownersHands-on field experience through ride-along trainingMost training takes place in the field alongside experienced technicians, with limited classroom instruction.Successful participants will transition into a Plumbing Service Technician role with our company.Program StructureThe program runs in scheduled cohorts approximately every 16 weeks.Applicants may be selected for the next available class or contacted for future openings.Who We're Looking ForThis opportunity is ideal for individuals who:Communicate confidently and professionallyEnjoy working with peopleAre comfortable learning sales conversationsEnjoy problem-solvingWant a long-term career with advancement opportunitiesAre coachable, dependable, and motivatedEnjoy hands-on work in a fast-moving environmentThis Program May Not Be a Good Fit If YouPrefer little customer interactionDislike sales conversationsAre uncomfortable discussing pricing or recommendationsWant a low-accountability environmentAre looking for a short-term job instead of a careerRequirementsValid driver's licenseClean background and MVRStrong work ethic and positive attitudeAbility to learn quickly and follow directionAbility to lift tools and work in residential environmentsWhy Metro Plumbing, Heating & AirPaid training programClear advancement opportunitiesStructured technician developmentModern residential service environmentSupportive leadership and team cultureMerit-based growth opportunitiesStable, established Chattanooga-area companyProfessional branding, vehicles, tools, and technologyStart Building Your CareerApply todayPlease Note: Our call center cannot provide application status updates and does not have access to recruiting information.
