Journeyman Plumber / InstallerFred F. Collis & Sons is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber / Installer to join our installation team. This role is focused on system installations including plumbing, hydronic systems, and mechanical integrations associated with HVAC and energy efficiency upgrades.The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in delivering high-quality installations that meet both company standards and program requirements.Key Responsibilities:Install plumbing systems including domestic water piping, drainage, fixtures, and equipmentInstall and assist with hydronic systems including boilers, indirect tanks, and distribution pipingPerform system replacements, retrofits, and new installations in residential and light commercial settingsWork on energy efficiency projects including weatherization-related plumbing scopesRead and interpret blueprints, scopes of work, and program documentationEnsure all work complies with New York State plumbing codes and program requirementsCollaborate with HVAC installers, electricians, and project managers on multi-trade projectsMaintain clean, safe, and organized job sitesAccurately complete job documentation and communicate project updatesQualifications:Journeyman Plumber license or equivalent field experience3+ years of plumbing installation experienceStrong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and installation practicesExperience with hydronic heating systems (boilers, baseboard, radiant) preferredAbility to read blueprints and scopes of workValid driver's license with a clean driving recordStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPreferred Experience:New Construction Rough-In Plumbing ExperienceHVAC/mechanical system integration experienceOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certificationPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularlyComfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areasAbility to stand, kneel, bend, and climb throughout the workday
