Job description
Plumbing Service TechnicianWith minimal supervision, the Plumbing Service Technician performs plumbing service work for residential as well as commercial clients. This technician works with Plumbing Manager and Dispatch to efficiently service customers in a timely and professional manner. Plumbing Technician dedicates safety focus on each job and utilizes the proper PPE to remain safe at work.The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $27.00 - $31.00 Hourly at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs a Plumbing Service Technician, you'll handle residential and commercial plumbing service calls. Typical responsibilities include:Diagnose and repair plumbing problemsPerform plumbing service and maintenance workHandle residential and commercial plumbing repairsCommunicate with customers about problems and solutionsRespond to scheduled and emergency service callsPrepare service vehicles, tools, and materials for jobsComplete service reports and job documentationFollow safety procedures and use proper PPEKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to understand instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management.Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.Ability to perform basic math functions.Minimum Education and Experience5+ years of commercial and residential plumbing experienceMust have a valid driver's licenseAcceptable driving recordAbility to successfully pass DOT drug screen, medical certification, physical exam and road examsMust be able to operate in a drug-free workplaceMust be able to meet physical demands evaluationMust be able to work overtime including weekends and holidaysMust be able to work on-call rotations as neededMust comply with all FMCSA and DOT regulationsMust practice safe work methods to remain accident and injury free.
