KANSAS REHABILITATION HOSPITAL
Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture of Encompass Health and Stormont Vail Health, is seeking a board-certified physiatrist for inpatient Associate Medical Director. Serving Lawrence, Topeka, Manhattan and Emporia, we are a leading provider of inpatient rehabilitation for stroke, Parkinson’s disease, trauma and other complex neurological and orthopedic conditions. Stormont Vail Health is a medium sized integrated delivery system serving a 13-county region in Northeast Kansas. The organization employs approximately 500 providers including 278 physicians in a multi-specialty setting. Stormont Vail Health is in its sixth year as a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network.

We are seeking a full time PM&R as Associate Medical Director and inpatient Attending physician. The ideal candidate is a physician leader interested in building a practice and growing with the Topeka area and region. ENCOMPASS HEALTH PM&R ASSOCIATE MEDICAL DIRECTOR DESCRIPTION
The Associate Medical Director plays a pivotal role in optimizing the overall clinical care of the hospital while also providing clinical care to patients.
Establish strong relationships with other specialists in the market area to make them aware of the benefits and the criteria for inpatient rehabilitation.Develop a known and visible presence within the hospital with a reputation for being accessible and approachable among the staff, patients and families.
The Physiatrist will set up a relationship with an independent billing company and retain 100% of his/her own billing and collections. Encompass Health hospitals are extremely busy with high patient volumes – Encompass Health has its own well-trained outreach teams that identify appropriate inpatient rehabilitation candidates from surrounding areas.

QUALIFICATIONS
MD or DO with state medical license of willingness to obtain state license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Patient-centered commitment to excellence
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Inpatient physiatry experience required

Our inpatient rehabilitation hospital uses an interdisciplinary team approach that includes physical, speech and occupational therapists, rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation nurses, case managers, dietitians and more, combined with our advanced technology and expertise, to help you achieve your goals. You will receive at least three hours of therapy five days per week while under the constant care of registered nurses, many of whom specialize in rehabilitation, and frequent independent private practice physician* visits.
