Job description
Police Chief PositionLegends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Police Chief for the BMO Center, Coronado Theatre, and Davis Park. The Police Chief is responsible for managing the department that ensures the safety of patrons, staff, vendors, and property. They are responsible for documenting any incidents on behalf of the police while working for Legends Global.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Scheduling the officers to meet our event-based calendarManage the squad car maintenance for the Police DepartmentManage the ILETSB training certificationsSubmit the officers' semi-annual hours to ILETSBManage the department accreditationAttend the Safety Committee meetingsWork with local agencies to perform emergency drills trainingPerform security during events to ensure the safety of patrons, staff, vendors, participants, and others on premisesRespond appropriately to any requests from building staff regarding disturbancesAssist and handle any disturbances or problems that arise during events at either facility. If necessary, escort disruptive individual(s) to the designated area and/or off the premises.If an ejection is made, the necessary reports need to be completed to document the incidentAssist with crowd control inside and outside the premisesMaintain control and order during fire, storms, civil disturbances, and other emergenciesComplete required reports and notifications in accordance with Legends Global policies and proceduresQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
