Police OfficerThe City of Atlantic City is seeking a Police Officer. The salary range for this position is $40,000.00 - $54,500.00 annually. The job is located at 1301 Bacharach Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ and is a full-time position.The job description includes patrolling designated areas to provide assistance and protection for persons, safeguarding property, ensuring observance of the law, and apprehending lawbreakers. Examples of duties include preparation for work, fighting and domestic disputes, general patrol, service calls, traffic control and enforcement of traffic laws, motor vehicle accidents, investigations, arrests, court testimony preparation and appearance, and supportive duties.Requirements include graduation from high school or possession of an approved high school equivalent certificate, being between 18 and 35 years of age, holding a valid police and driver's license in New Jersey, being a U.S. citizen, and passing a medical and psychiatric examination.Typical qualifications involve knowledge of department rules, first aid, traffic laws, investigative procedures, and the criminal justice system, along with abilities in communication, physical exertion, and group work.The City of Atlantic City offers a complete benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, pension, and various voluntary benefits.
