Out-of-state officers should review Minnesota POST Board reciprocity requirements to determine eligibility.We're seeking experienced officers who demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and strong communication skills. Individuals who perform well under pressure and are committed to high-quality police work will thrive in our organization.Compensation & lateral placement includes $47.24 – $54.59/hour (2026 contract rate), placement based on years of service and current compensation, and longevity increases at years 5, 10, and 15.Time off & schedule includes 40 hours of vacation available immediately, 120 hours (15 days) annually after accrual begins, 10-hour shifts offering additional days off, and on-duty workout time to support officer wellness.The Eagan Police Department handles approximately 50,000 calls for service annually with 79 sworn officers, providing both meaningful experience and a supportive team environment.Our department is committed to supporting our officers, investing in training and professional development, and providing access to specialty assignments based on readiness and interest.Specialty opportunities include SWAT, K9, Investigations, School Resource Officer, Drone, Traffic/DRE, Crisis Negotiation, Computer Forensics, Field Training, Crime Scene, and Motor Unit.Applications accepted online.
