Job Posting: Full-Time Police Officer City of Long Prairie, MN Deadline: October 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Position Overview The City of Long Prairie is hiring a full-time Police Officer for active patrol, crime prevention, emergency response, law enforcement, and court testimony. Compensation & Benefits Wage: 7-step scale from $31.73 to $39.69/hour (experience determines initial step). Raises: Yearly cost-of-living increases. Insurance: 100% employer-paid individual health insurance; family coverage is subsidized. Requirements Minimum: Associate's degree (A.A.) in criminal justice. Preferred: Bilingual skills and prior law enforcement experience (not mandatory).
