Build a Career in Chemical ManufacturingFull-Time | 2nd & 3rd Shift OpeningsStarting Pay: $18.00/hour + shift differentialTraining Schedule: New hires will train on 1st shift for approximately 45 days before transitioning to their assigned shift.At STI Polymer, you'll join a specialized manufacturing team that produces high-quality polymers used in a variety of industries. We are committed to safety, teamwork, and developing our employees for long-term success.Unlike many entry-level manufacturing positions, this role provides a pathway to learn increasingly complex production processes and develop skills that can lead to advancement opportunities within our Polymer Operations Career Pathway.What You'll DoAs a Polymer Production Technician, you'll help support the safe and efficient production of polymer products by:Draining polymer from production reactors into totes and drumsConnecting, monitoring, and handling industrial hoses and equipmentFiltering finished products according to quality specificationsPackaging and preparing finished goods for shipmentWeighing and staging raw materials for productionAssisting with material movement and production support activitiesMaintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollowing all company safety policies, procedures, and work instructionsWorking closely with team members to support production goalsGrow With UsThis position serves as the entry point into STI Polymer's Polymer Operations Career Pathway. We provide training for individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Physical & Work RequirementsThis position must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:Regular lifting of materials up to 50 poundsStanding and walking for extended periodsFrequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pullingClimbing stairs throughout the production facilityWorking in a manufacturing environment around production equipmentWearing required personal protective equipment, including a full-face respirator when necessary
