Job Description - Pool Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient V8)
Pool Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient - V8)
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, responsible for accurate and efficient practice of pharmacy, including general clinical pharmacy services to patients, nurses and medical staff. Participates in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs. Assesses the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders. Able to perform all of the duties of a registered Pharmacist. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Responsibilities
Provide general clinical pharmacy services to patients, nurses and medical staff.
Participate in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs.
Assess age-specific needs of patients and monitor medication use and processing of medication orders.
Perform all duties of a registered Pharmacist.
Adhere to the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
Qualifications
B.S. degree in Pharmacy with residency or Pharm D degree from accredited College of Pharmacy.
Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent training/experience.
Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida.
One-year prior experience in a hospital, or related experience with clinical pharmacy.
PGY1 residency training or equivalent hospital experience - preferred
Previous experience in emergency medicine or OR/Procedural areas - preferred
