Job description
Pool Patient Safety CompanionThe Patient Sitter provides continuous, compassionate observation and companionship to patients requiring close monitoring to ensure their safety and well-being. This role plays a vital part in supporting the clinical team by helping prevent injury, promoting a therapeutic environment, and responding promptly to patient needs. This includes alerting nurses or clinical partners when patients require assistance or intervention, attending to basic patient requests, and maintaining strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with BHSF policies and standards. Estimated Salary $18.50 per hour.Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper. Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support. Additional Qualifications: CNA or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) preferred. BLS required, must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Healthcare experience preferred, not required. Ability to demonstrate excellent listening and communication skills, with a keen ability to observe and recognize changes in patient behavior or condition.
