Senior AI ConsultantThe Senior AI Consultant will lead AI-driven transformation initiatives for North American Utilities clients. This role targets senior practitioners with deep strategic advisory experience, strong technical credibility, and a proven track record of building and scaling AI teams and solutions. Candidates who have led AI departments, Centers of Excellence, or founded / operated AI-focused companies will be given strong preference.Roles & Responsibilities:Define and lead AI & GenAI strategy for electric, gas, and water utilitiesAdvise CIO, CTO, CDO, and business leaders on AI-led operating model transformationArchitect and deliver end-to-end AI and GenAI solutions from concept to productionLead large-scale AI programs across grid operations, asset management, customer operations, and energy transitionEstablish AI governance, Responsible AI, and regulatory compliance (e.g., NERC CIP)Build and scale AI teams, Centers of Excellence, and reusable acceleratorsSupport pre-sales, RFPs, executive solutioning, and strategic pursuitsQualifications:Technical Expertise:AI / ML Frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Hugging FaceGenerative AI & LLMs: GPT, Claude, Llama, Gemini; prompt engineering and agentic architecturesCloud AI Platforms: Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker & Bedrock, Google Vertex AIMLOps: CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, governance, retraining, and securityData Platforms: Databricks, Snowflake, cloud-native data lakesUtility Systems & Data: SCADA, AMI, OMS, GIS, DERMS, EAMPreferred Skills / Background:Former Head of AI, Chief AI Officer, AI Practice Leader, or AI Startup FounderExperience running AI departments, AI CoEs, or small AI-focused companiesProven record of building AI teams and scaling production-grade AI solutionsPrior consulting experience with North American utilitiesCertifications:Relevant certifications in AI/ML and cloud platforms: Azure AI Engineer AssociateAWS Certified Machine Learning SpecialtyGoogle Professional Machine Learning EngineerCertifications in Generative AI toolsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field (Master's or PhD preferred)Salary Range: 252,000-341,000 a year
