Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication to all individuals on site. This position requires you to be armed and to meet all armed guard card requirements. If you meet the driving requirements, you may also be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. Join us to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment where your experience and commitment are truly valued.Position Type: Full TimePay Rate: $24.74 / HourJob Schedule:Day Time Mon 12:00 PM - 08:00 PMTue 12:00 PM - 08:00 PMWed 12:00 PM - 08:00 PMThur 12:00 PM - 08:00 PMFri 12:00 PM - 08:00 PMWhat You'll Do:Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sitesSupport operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and educationReceive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teamsDeliver consistent, professional security presence and customer serviceBe ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs ariseResponsibilities:Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities or management.Maintain a visible presence while on patrol to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.Follow all protocols for handling and carrying firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.Assist with access control by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.What We're Looking For:Availability across various days and shiftsReliability and ability to adapt to different post assignmentsA desire to gain broad experience and grow within the companyInterest in transitioning into full-time roles when availableMinimum Requirements:Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.Be able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.Possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Flexible Scheduling: Choose from a variety of open shifts that align with your availability and lifestyle.Career Growth: Clear path to full-time roles and ongoing advancement through paid training programs.Smart Tools: Access exclusive technology for real-time shift visibility and claiming.Full-Time Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k) plans, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.Employee Perks: Enjoy discounts at restaurants, entertainment venues, and more through our perks program.ClosingAllied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
